What is this part
2 Attachment(s)
I have the GR16 R4 Commando and this part broke that prevents the batterys from moving around inside the stock.
Hopefully thats somewhat clear PS, if you know where I can order it that would be awesome Thanks in advance |
You gotta buy a new G&P crane stock battery
However, when you buy a new one, it usually comes with a spare part like that to prevent the front of the battery from being deformed in shipping I used to have one laying around, I'm sure other people have spares |
Alright, so do you think it’s only cosmetic for now? or is it a part that needs to be replaced asap
|
email the maunfacturer. Hong Kong and Chinese manufacturers will send out replacement parts really quick for cheap
|
What about fixing it with some black silicone or glue? Will probably be cheaper ;)

I tried that, didnt work too well, I'll try it again
|
You could probably get it done with some model plastic glue for plastic on plastic applicaitons.
You know the stuff that melts the plastic and when you connect it to another piece binds to it and dries almost as if it were one piece Like this stuff (except not from there cause it's expensive if you buy from there). http://www.diver.pt/loja/images/PlasticGlue20g.jpg. |
yeah that was the first thing I attempted, stuff from Tamiya Extra Thin Model Cement then I tried epoxy but that didnt stick well once i tried to slip the battery through
|
Try ABS cement for plumbing. Most plastic on the guns is ABS. Tamiya stuff is meant for styrene.
|
alright, can i pick that stuff up at any homedepot / hardware store
|
Be sure to prepare your surface properly before trying to glue it together... If you tried few times with different product there's probably some unwanted residue on the surface.
By the way, how did it happen? I have almost the same battery pack as you (the G&P one) and I don't know how I could break that way. |

There is this special stuff that you can get from specialty stores that pretty much melts any plastic. I forget what it's called but it's like the opposite of viscous. Anyways, you could probably do it that way. IIRC it was something like $15-20 for a 3 oz. jar and I got it from "The concrete store" in Vancouver (it's not actually called that but that's the name I know it by I actually forget what the real name is I think it's "the concrete shop"). It's really thin and works on pretty much any plastic I've tried it on. ABS, styrene, PVC, acrylic, etc. So maybe that one might work if the model plastic glue doesn't. |
before getting that other stuff i think you should try krazy glue then JB weld.worked well for most of the plastics i've glued together
|
JB Weld is what I use for when I make portable game consoles, and need to attach plastic peices. Attach, sand, paint, presto. Mmm, looks like its store bought.
|
You make portable game consoles?
PM me. |
