Tan/Sand Painted TM G36c **56K**

Hey guys,

No, I did not use white-out. :D

Well I looked at a couple of M4's on ASC with some tan colour parts such as hand guards, rails, ris, stock, etc..

Well I started to do the same thing to my G36c.
The user 'saumaun' on ASC has painted his a kind of green colour on his magwell and stock which gave me an idea to paint the magwell instead of painting the whole mody covering the fire selecter graphics.

The paint I used was Kyrlon Satin. No, it's not close to a Sand/Tan colour, but this was the only one Canadian Tire has and was closest for the plastic spray paint.

I started having trouble taking the G36c apart for which the manual has helped me on some parts.

Here are some pics in order from what I started. Enjoy!

MS PAINT, just a lil something before I start my project. (Picture was taken off goggle and started painting with MS)

Good show, but what paint did you use? Seems very bright and shiny...

Beazer January 8th, 2008 01:51

paint the grip then wear it out so it doesn't look sooooo new.

philstructo January 8th, 2008 01:53

I thought the first pic was your gun all painted ready to go I was like "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" Then I read on and its not that bad good stuff :D

Krylon Fusion for plastic.

The cap was all smooth and no glares. Somehow there was glare on the gun.

Thanks guys, I was planning to get some light sand paper and wear some parts of it out?

That's the way to do it :D if you don't like the glare though, spray a coat of Krylon camoflage paint.

skalnok January 8th, 2008 02:10

It's too bad Canadian Tire didn't have them when I went. I have to try other locations. Then add some coats of a darker sand colour. :)

... Eh, not my thing. It's just too... well.. chairsofter-ish, IMBHO.

just sand paper it up a bit to get rid of the shine and maybe and some OD lines to it, to give it a more camo affect.

Shrapnel[Op-For] January 8th, 2008 03:16

IMHO, the tan is to bright, and the placing of the paint makes it look "choppy". Maybe if you just stuck to certain areas it wouldn't look like that. I liked it more when it was just black though...

Ronan January 8th, 2008 05:10

I prefer it black but IF you need to paint it then thats ok.

The tan is way to bright, get some darker shades onto it and it will look cool.

Try this with your G36:

:D Look,s good man.:D

Kokanee January 8th, 2008 08:19

It would look outstanding if you went all the way with it, everything tan, then as Ronan said above.

Look pretty slick!
