the sector and spur on mine contacted a bit as well, but after about 1k rds, it spun as smooth as silk.
regrettably I have a systema complete in my gun now instead of my modify "complete"(bought the best parts modify made separately and assembled them), but I assume you it works brilliantly unless you got a complete lemon.
make sure you've installed and adjusted the bevel properly.
