Yeah but it was moved by vehicles or on a cart.
My point still stands. You wouldn't run across the battlefield with a M2 HB like you would with a M1919.
EDIT : Actually, I know the Infantry had a mount for it. So I "guess" it could be used on the battlefield other than for defense purposes. Still, it's an heavy bitch ^^
EDIT 2 : Actually #2, I didn't know the M2 was still that used today. Ignore what I said, I was talking about the WWII M2.
