Yes it would because their neighbour Iran and Pakistan have HK Plants which manufacturer G3A3's and MP5's, do some research before you jump to conclusions.
Hell, even somalians during the crisis in 1993 had them, go watch Blackhawk Down, in some scenes you can clearly see them using G3's.
