Shipping things within Canada
Hey all. What do you usually label your guns as when shipping them? Not sure how the post office on base will react when I tell them "an airsoft gun", then try to explain what it is.

Inside the country you don't need to do anything type of declaration. Use some kind of hard case and wrap up the pacakge and send it away.

+1. You don't have to declare anything. I never have.

Well, obviously don't tell the receptionist that you have an Assualt rifle in the box.
![]() +1 to not declaring it, since its not necessary. |

Whether it's a replica or not, (they are not going to open your box to find out if it's real or not) it's not a good idea to ship outside your region via Xpresspost or Priority Courier any longer.

I just declare it as a "Toy"
That could be an Adult toy, a Child's toy, or a Gang members "Toy" Short, sweet and simple. Just dont declare it as: Gun Pistol Grenade Launcher Silencer or any other things that draw attention. |

Yeah, I don't know what type of toy comes in a 12x7x2" box and weighs 5lbs. I'll just go with "computer parts" I think. Thanks for the advice all.

I'd go with toy. A toy train/slot cars would fit your description.

What if the box becomes damaged along the way and someone does happen to open it? How are you going to explain computer parts then? Stick with toy. It is such a broad term that it is much better to use than 'computer parts'. |

UPS requires you to declare things now and then (depending on how attentive the person is at the shipping centre you visit). I've used "Toy" in the past.

as long as it's not a dangerous item there is no need to declare anything when shipping inside the country.
when some nosy motherfucker at the PO asks what I'm shipping in a zip tied guncase, I always answer "R/C Helicopter" seriously, even if I WAS shipping an RC copter and not assault rifles i'd use a guncase, waaay more secure than some cardboard box. in 7 years of buying and selling I've never had a package break open. Just pack the fucking thing well, you pay or get paid hundreds of dollars per gun, no reason to cheap out on packaging.
