I admit I'm very interested in seeing them, though I'll probably stick with regular multicam

![]() MULTICAM ALPINE Alpine environments are those areas located above the timberline and are mainly associated with high mountains; some people define it as mountainous areas with trees less than 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. It is distinguished by certain alpine plants, especially those that have adapted to the harsh effects of wind, cold temperatures, short growing seasons, dry conditions, and ultraviolet radiation. Because of the lack of extensive vegetation and harsh conditions, alpine geology deals mostly with weathering of exposed rock and glacier formation in the alpine mountains. There are numerous alpine areas around the world that are prime places to study alpine geology. For example, the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire contains over 8 square miles (21 square kilometers) of alpine zones—the largest alpine area east of the Rocky Mountains. In Tibet, the alpine zone takes in all areas in which the average July temperature (the warmest month of the year) is not greater than 50°F (10°C). That includes most of the Tibetan plateau, except the southern river valleys of the Indus, Sutlej, and Tsangpo, including the Lhasa Valley. Wasn't the whole entire point of Multicam to just be one single pattern???

Multicam was suppose to work in a wide variety of environments, not all of them. There are a lot of environments/situations in which multicam doesnt work very well in. The point of these new patterns are to supplement the current multicam, and of course, line their pockets. Or thats how i see it at least

Arid & Tropic WTF?
Multicam is already effective in both of those area why add this? For airsoft prespective, this is going to be more fatricide as camo colour aren't split by Tan/Green anymore |

Arid and Tropic are likely from Crye's submission to the US Army's (now-stalled, if not dead) Phase IV camo improvement solicitation, which called for a family of patterns to replace UCP. The idea was that a transitional pattern would become the Army's primary and PPE pattern, with the others issued as needed.

Though this is 100% true, I cannot stop thinking about what Alpine and Tropic are going to look like, hopefully more appealing to the eye.. Also a ton of people have been asking for Multicam in Black and I suppose they just thought of other color patterns that people might enjoy, for the people not the money *Ahem* ..
